We have 27 amazing, little students in our class this year. Miss Pendlebury is the class teacher.

​​​​Reading

Reading is one of the most important skills children learn at home. Parents and carers can play an essential role in fostering a lifelong love of reading in children and an interest in books that will give them a strong foundation for their future.

We encourage children to be reading at home at least 3 times a week – every day if possible. Sharing a book together with your child gives you the opportunity to escape into another world together and can be bonding and relaxing.  We advise that all children read for at least 10 minutes a day. Ideally, 20 minutes a day would be the most beneficial. Every child has a Reading Record book to record what they have been reading. Our expectation is that they read at least 3 times a week as part of their weekly home learning. If your child has not read at home, we will provide them with time in school to complete this part of their home learning.

​​​​Physical Education 

PE will be on Mondays and Fridays.  Children should attend school in their PE kit on PE day. Your child’s PE kit should consist of a white t-shirt,  black shorts/joggers and pumps/trainers.   Earrings are not to be worn for PE. If children have earrings in, they need to be removed by themselves. Members of staff CANNOT remove earrings due to health and safety. Hair needs to be tied up.​

​​​​Home Learning

Maths, SpaG and spelling home learning will be given to the children every Friday.  This provides an opportunity for pupils to practise and share skills taught at school with those at home. It is encouraged that pupils complete this home learning and return it to school the following Thursday.
