Within our school, we recognise the uniqueness of each individual. We must equip our pupils to recognise and evaluate what is being presented to them and continually work towards a structure and framework for their own beliefs and behaviour. We need to use the experience of others to support and prepare us for life’s journey.
We show care and empathy, encouraging kindness, understanding and emotional awareness in all we do.
We maintain high standards in how we work, present ourselves, and always give our best effort.
We value everyone, promoting good manners and treating others — and ourselves — with dignity.
We practise daily acts of kindness, creating a positive, caring and inclusive school environment.
We support one another, show pride in our school, and stay true to our friends and shared goals.
We take ownership of our actions, care for our environment, and contribute positively to school life.

As part of Science Week, Year 1 have learned about the famous scientist, Mae Jemison. This link has tied nicely with our current learning about Significant Individuals in History where we have learning about Mae and Neil Armstrong.
Well what fun we've had in 5A this morning - as part of British Science Week we have done the infamous 'coke and mentos' experiment to see an irreversible change happen. Although the children were slightly gutted I wasn't covered in cola, they loved seeing the reaction happen. It's always nice to take learning outside!
5B have been looking at how to manage reactions during their SkillsBuilder session this week. The children have been discussing how to adapt to any unexpected challenge and how to manage their reactions instead of becoming stressed or frustrated. #earlyyearstoemployment #QUESTtrust #skillsbuilder
Year 2B Trip to the Blue Planet Aquarium! Year 2B had an amazing time on their trip to the Blue Planet Aquarium! The children loved exploring the different sea creatures and learning all about life under the sea. This links to our Science learning about living things and their habitats, helping the children understand where different animals live and how they survive in their environments. It was a fantastic day full of excitement, discovery, and lots of smiles! #earlyyearstoemployment #QUESTtrust #HGCP
Year 2B have been practising their handwriting and working hard on neat presentation. We loved looking through their wonderful books and seeing the progress they are making! Well done, Year 2B – keep up the great work! #earlyyearstoemployment #QUESTtrust #HGCP
A Little Nature Rescue in Year 6A! Today, Year 6A discovered a caterpillar that needed a little help. As a class, we carefully looked after it and spent some time watching it recover. Once it was ready, we safely released it back into its natural habitat, making sure it could continue on its journey. It was a lovely moment for the class to learn about respecting and caring for living things while observing nature up close. Well done, Year 6A! #QUESTtrust #earlyyearstoemployment #HGCP #CaringForLivingThings

Skills Builder in Year 6A During our recent Skills Builder assembly, Year 6A focused on one aspect of the adapting skill learning how to respond positively when things feel challenging. As part of the session, we completed a short task about a character who wanted to give up on a challenge after a short time. Pupils worked together to think of words of encouragement and strategies that could help her adapt, keep trying, and overcome the challenge. It was fantastic to see the class sharing thoughtful ideas about perseverance, resilience, and having a positive mindset when faced with difficulties. A brilliant reminder that challenges help us grow! #questtrust #earlyyearstoemployment #hgcp #SkillsBuilder
Nursery This week at nursery we have been focusing on the skill of adaptating– learning how to adjust when things change and trying new ways to solve problems. Through a range of fun activities, the children explored how to be flexible in their thinking, whether it was finding different ways to build with blocks, working together during group games, or adjusting their ideas during creative play. It has been wonderful to see the children showing resilience, creativity, and confidence as they adapt to new challenges. These moments help build important life skills that support learning, problem-solving, and teamwork. #hindleygreencommunityprimary #earlyyearstoemployment
This Week in Reception This week our CUSP book has been Celebrations Around the World, and we have been learning all about Holi, the festival of colour! During Holi, people create beautiful rangoli patterns on the floor using bright colours and intricate designs. The children explored different rangoli patterns, discussed the shapes and colours they could see, and designed their own unique patterns. They then brought their ideas to life by creating their own colourful rangoli plates. #ReceptionClass #EarlyYears #EYFS #LearningThroughPlay #CreativeLearning #CelebrationsAroundTheWorld #Holi #Rangoli #ProudToLearn #HindleyGreenCommunityPrimary #HGCP #CommunityOfLearners #HindleyGreenTogether #LearninginAction #QuestTrust #EarlyYearsToEmployment
A Lovely Mother's Day Celebration What a beautiful time we had at our toddler group celebrating Mother's Day! The room was full of smiles, music, and lots of happy dancing feet. Our little ones loved taking part and it was so special seeing them share the moment with their mums and carers. A big highlight was the gorgeous flowers the children gave out – such a sweet way to say "Happy Mother's Day!" Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a warm and joyful morning. We loved celebrating with you all! Thank you all for coming See you all again next week Mrs. Sharpe
